Hey SCNCA Champions. Here is the info for your 2012 Championship jerseys.
So Cal District Elite, Master, and Junior Road Race Champs
new course and venue announced
Valued Racers and Fans,
The 2012 SCNCA District Road Race Championships will be held June 1st and 2nd.
in Bakersfield on a new course and venue. We are pleased and excited to announce
that the race will be held on the same course used for the upcoming April 21st.
VLEES HUIS RONDE road course, with a small modification. The previous course of
Round Mt. road became too complicated and too busy with industrial oilfield
traffic and changes in the venue proper. Also, for the first time in many years,
the Junior riders will be racing the same weekend, on the same course.
The “Vlees course” (pronounced “Flays”) as it’s commonly known will be modified
for the championship race by eliminating the first turnaround and having the
riders go out and back to the Caliente turnaround. The course distance is 25
miles, (profile and stats attached) with 2037ft. of climbing per “lap”. It will
provide a good solid championship level course that offers a nice mix of
everything.
We encourage racers to come check out the course at the VLESS HUIS RONDE race
April 21st. Many categories will fill up, register now! GREAT food and drink
will be available for the first time at the venue featuring the Gear Grider
Grill in full force…good, quality food for racers and fans to include a light
breakfast if you need it….post race, get your grub on! The race flyer for the
VLEES HUIS RONDE can be found at the below websites.
Look for a complete race flyer for districts coming soon at
